Where We Come From

The Heber Valley isn't just where Wasatch Back Customs operates — it's where our family has lived, worked, and hunted since the valley was first settled. Seven generations have called this place home, and with that comes a deep respect for the land, the wildlife, and the traditions that define life in the mountain West.

We grew up here. We know these ridgelines, these elk herds, these seasons. That connection to the land is woven into everything we do.

Why We Started Wasatch Back Customs

After more than five years as a licensed FFL dealer, we've helped hunters, collectors, competitive shooters, and first-time buyers find the right firearm for their needs. What we noticed along the way was a gap in the market — there wasn't an online firearms retailer that truly reflected the western lifestyle. Most gun stores felt either too tactical, too generic, or too disconnected from the culture that surrounds responsible firearm ownership in the West.

Wasatch Back Customs was built to fill that gap. We wanted to create a store that felt as at home on the back of a pickup as it did in a mountain cabin — one that takes craftsmanship seriously and respects both the heritage of firearms and the people who carry them.

500 Acres of Private Forest

Our family actively hunts over 500 acres of private forest adjacent land in the Wasatch Back — the same land our ancestors hunted generations before us. That relationship with the land isn't something we take lightly. It shapes how we think about firearms, conservation, and what it means to be a responsible steward of the West.
